The right of reply

Enough is enough. People who proclaim to fight for freedom of expression and free media but censors other's legitimate reply based on their whims and fancy, must realise that on the internet, they cannot suppress peoples' legitimate right to reply and express contrarian views. This blog welcomes all views. ~ Ellese

Sorry for the crude word ‘bahalol’. This is pursuant to my earlier postings on a pr cybertrooper who has been impersonating others to deceive. I cannot tolerate such behaviour and suspended him temporarily. But a better way is to publish his idiotic posting here. But since he does not want to give his chosen name and apologise (after giving him time), Ive given him an apt name: Bahalol. Enjoy. I also do this to allow other idiots who like to compliment and complement him to enjoin the idiocy he so much desires.

PS. I apologise for the cut and paste style. Its not in any order or manner. I dont want to take much of my time to do this.

Expose all the EC employees during that period and their family members…. What post do they hold in Civil Service, what business do they do, what is the net worth of all these individuals.

Maybe a class action suit should be filed???? Get 100K Malaysian to file a case?

Boleh HI?

Sorry for the cold water on the idea, but I do not think a class action would get very far

After 3 times caught lying/ mismeading, this has some sense. From Harris…. Oops singa write, it appears Rashid has to answer whether he has knowledge. I’ve yet to read the rci but singa better not do selective quoting.
I still think its premature to conclude. In any proceedings, one must allow all to be disclosed to be fair. Court and proceedings reporting in Malaysia has been appalling where people quote what they want to spin irregardless of truth. So for example if you make a favourable assertion in examination in chief, This is published widely by those holding the view. Then when this assertion is debunked in cross and re it was never reported. This is done by both MSM and pro pr media. This is rubbish.
Since I’ve not read and been following the whole proceeding I take singa write prima facie as correct notwithstanding his previous misquoting and misleading write.

January 24, 2013

Srry I sent in a bit too quick.

My last line, “so Rashid has to answer. Rci has to call him. Lets hear how he response under oath and questioning”

Ps for those uninitiated, the wiki leaks has no value since its hearsay. We should not be conned like in the past when so many Malaysians foolishly relied on hearsay SD. When the maker denies, the SD falls. Don’t be conned.

He has no moral grounds to continue serving as an EC chief. If he is worth his salt he should just pack and leave. But I doubt he would be honourable enough to take that step. Most likely he would try to stay put even if we figuratively hit him with old and dirty brooms, a hallmark of scUMNO’s products. Hopefully I wish to see him sharing the same cell with that Kerala con-man after GE13.

Rashid has retired from the EC already

January 24, 2013

Lets stop kidding ourselves with all these details. The EC along with state immigration and NRD, are ENEMIES OF THE STATE. They conducted a systematic bureaucratic civil war against Sabah and now, again stop kidding ourselves, doing it in Selangor. WE ARE UNDER ATTACK – not just clear and present danger. WE THE RAKYAT ARE AT WAR WITH OUR BUREAUCRATS..

Ironically, these are the very people who will protest and shout the loudest against the “pendatangs” and insist on “Ketuanan Melayu”. So, it comes back to the old argument of Orang Melayu = Islam and Orang Islam = Melayu, even if the people are from Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and/or the Philippines! So much for loyalty to their race and their country. To traitors such as this, only Mammon rules!

Just why do you still want to refer to this sorry example of a man as Tan Sri? I remembered distinctly prior 2008 you together with a group in the KLSCAH tore photos of Abdul Rashid. I think you were too polite. Perhaps you should urinate on it instead.

I am not the author. I leave it to the author to address Rashid as he chooses. Personally, I would not waste my urine on Rashid

But I could not allow myself to let commenters like “Ellese” get away that easily . I have to give back her own medicine. Commenters like “Ellese” have short memory of what she/he had posted, a typical trademark of seasoned cybertroopers

Submitted on 2013/01/24 at 9:01 pm

It’s funny every time I see a pot calling the kettle black. Bn cyber troopers condemn pr cyber troopers for simply being cybertrroopers. They wrote to castigate and devalue the opponent many a times by name calling. There is no point put forward but just personal attack. Similarly with pr cybertrroopers. They are the same. For example Ali said bn cybertrroopers condemn Anwar Kau Kau but look at or cybertrroopers condemning personally Najib Kau Kau. Often these cybertrroopers merely write to vent their hatred against the other. Macam similar tactics like hitler. Ask haris himself. Justify all wrongful means so long the end is met.
Crazy people these fellow. And behind them we have legions of gullible goons unable to think what’s right and what’s wrong. A case of unmitigated disasters. You know why? Theese goons think they’re right when clearly they’re wrong. Gila bab orang Malaysians.

Submitted on 2013/01/24 at 8:56 pm

Thank you.

I’ll reply in brief.

1) I’m not a paid cybertrroopers. Bn or Umno dont know me. I write my own views. Anyone accusing me as a paid cybertrooper with intent to lower my estimation is lying.
2) singa previous article on civil servant contains several misleading statements. The comment you censored showed the percentage is not supportable and wrong. I’ve been highlighted that ILO did a proper comparison and we have much lower percentage than developed countries like Germany France uk. There’s a reference in my blog.
3) my contention is that singa wrote to mislead. This to me cannot be tolerated. We cannot allow falsehood to form a perception of truth.
4) in civil liberties, if you disagree you rebut. You don’t ban or censor for simply for having contrarian views. In my case I’m pointing out a false and misleading article. It thus therefore is relevant. I welcome those who challenge my basis of contention.

Submitted on 2013/01/24 at 8:55 pm

It’s a pity for an intelligent person like you unable to dicphet simple objective truth. Your failure to read what was censored shows you are not even handed. Then resorting to name calling reflects your badly on you.

I’m beginning to doubt your sincerity. I have not set my guns ablaze against you coz I still think you’re still honest. Go read a bit on comparing civil service number from credible sources ie don’t read propagandist dap publication on this out there (published in FMT). Dont have to read my blog. Then tell me what constitute our 1.3 million and what constitute civil servants in uk and Singapore. Truth will always prevail. In this case you do your own investigation. Ellese knows this I believe and to my mind that’s why he’s suppressing the truth.

What a load of crap. Since when gender is material? And then calling me pondan shit Idiots moron etc. kepala otak korang. bloody fools. You censor my comments and then purely attack me personally.

Use your brain sikit boleh tak. The Ellese article contains misleading false information. I call it a lie. Why suppress the truth? Tell me lah the civil service number in Singapore? Them tell me the number of Singaporean population. Go google lah. Then see singa lies through its teeth. It’s not my truth lah. You find and calculate. I’ll show you the basis of my numbers.

These are typical stupid goons. Censor my comments. And then not knowing the issue, condemn me. Go to the issue lah. Think will you. Don’t be a stupid follower. Rebut and give me your numbers lah.

This truth is objective. Please read article by monyet king. The reference is in my blog hakbersuara. You do a bit of Maths and you know Ellese is wrong and misleads. Go calculate rather than attacking me. Till date my rebut to singa is censored by haris. Why must the truth be suppressed? If I’m wrong then challenge me.

If you’re bored or think its a waste of time, please follow haris. You don’t have to read my comment. I’m more than ok. but I will still exercise my write to tell what I see as the truth for all to see in particular to counter baseless spiteful propaganda. I will still write to protect my name though.

You are kidding me right. Ellese censored my reply which says its not apple to apple comparison. Go google on teachers in uk. The number of nursery/primary teachers in 2010 employed by local and government are 200k. Then for secondary another 200k. Tak kan all the government plus armies total to 44k. Our numbers include teachers and police force. So don’t be conned and then worse spread lies. Next time don’t censor the truth

Here we go again same tactic wave. Weve gone through this many times before. Look at my censored write. I put a basis that the article is flawed misleading false and leads to a malicious illogical insensical conclusion. When one writes like that its more than fair to conclude that the person spread lies together with those who publish it. I write with the same disdain Ellese wrote. As usual I will ask again for you to justify. You will not touch the merits and then we start accusing each other. Go back to what I wrote. The article spread lies and falsehood. It’s more than fair for me to remark on the author.

Ps: wasn’t our last debate where I pointed your double standard on applying ad hominem. Are you or are you not against ad hominem?

Why do you censor my comments though it’s not lengthy. I have the right to respond to comments which besmirched me. You must allow me to respond in fairness.

All I said was that I wondered why Ellese was trying so hard to avoid replying to comments on Helen of Troy. His whiny response? ” I did not avoid. It was censored. So ask haris yourself why he censor things you dimwit.” So, Haris, spill the beans. Being called a dimwit is too much for me to bear. And oh yes, Zahariah, before I forget, Ellese seems to think you might be having an improper relationship with someone called Elizabeth.

NINA in UMNO. No Income, No Assets but RICH

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:55:41 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
In UMNO there are many Malays who have become rich without working for it, without any business acumen and without any brains! In UMNO there are many Malays who have been given lucrative business opportunities without any financial risks for them. These are fail-safe cash cows with an iron clad money back guarantee – the government buys it back from you at a premium – not IF you fail but WHEN you fail! But here is where UMNO has failed these Malays. Tajuddin Ramli, Amin Shah, Halim Saad… These are the top of the heap of failed Malay ‘businessmen’ who epitomize those who benefited from selective government patronage and became part of the culture of greed now infused into many Malay consciousness. These individuals have been given every assistance, every fail- safe option to succeed. And yet they fail. And then there are those like Mahathir’s son whose ‘businesses’ have been kept afloat by billions of ringgits belonging to the people and this son of Mahathir considers himself a businessman of considerable abilities – the new rich Malays! Malays who are multi millionaires riding on the back of UMNO and the people’s money. But at least this son makes a show of running a business empire- a diverse conglomerate that covers a range of activities – mostly legal! But come on lah….what business empire? Given the breaks he has had, even a monkey can live in clover without ever running out of bananas for the rest of his life! Then we have Malays like the late Zakaria Deros, Muhammad Taib, Isa Samad, Shahidan Kassim and of course the infamous Khir Toyo. These are the scums of the earth. They do not even have the intelligence or decency to hide the wealth that they have stolen from the people who have voted to put them in power. The hastiness in which Khir Toyo had proceeded to display his stolen wealth after losing office fills most of us with stomach wrenching disgust. But these are the people that UMNO chooses to be leaders within UMNO. But what is most damaging to the Malays are the many thousands of Malays who have been taught that money can be got by abusing the trust placed in them by other Malays. A Ketua Cawangan gets a contract to build a primary school in his “kawasan”. Without any knowledge of business he is given a business opportunity way beyond his capacity to manage. All he knows is that he has to get someone… just about anyone…. who will take the contract off his hands and give him a handsome commission. He makes the 20% to 50% commission off the contract price. It does not concern him if the contract is successfully completed or not – what matters is how much he will make as commission from that contract – after all he has already spent the advance given to him by JKR to start the contract. To him this is a good way of doing business …the UMNO way! And so UMNO teaches a Malay to do business without having any knowledge of the business that he does, without any working capital, without risks and certainly without any brains to be able to better himself by this business opportunity given to him by UMNO. While all this is going on the wheeling and dealing is most intense in the corridors of power. In Putrajaya and in the Government Ministries. Not only by the Minister himself but also by all his staff – anybody and everybody with access to the Minister will make their money. In Agriculture, Defense, Education, Trade, Energy, Water and Communication and the mother of all Ministries, The Ministry of Finance. And do not forget the Government Agencies and anywhere else a ringgit can be made. Hell there are money to be made even in Rela and the Anti-drugs Agency! All this orgy of making money makes these Malays cash rich. Wine, women and song…big cars, nice clothes are easy enough habits to acquire but it does not teach them how to keep the money or how to use the money to make more money. And their ability to make money remains as long as their Minister stays a Minister – so make hay while the sun shines! And so what does it do to these Malays? They become parasites. Parasite: “Somebody who lives off the generosity of others and does nothing in return” What they earn is not enough to keep them in the lifestyle that they want to live up to and so they take from us. While we have to live on the wages we earn UMNO eagerly opens up many sources of illegal income for those that pledge allegiance to the party. These Malays are regarded by most Malays as the worst of the blight that UMNO has caused to the Malay race. The presence of these Malays makes real all that UMNO leaders have been saying about the Malays. That the Malays need to be spoon fed, that the Malays are unable to compete on a level playing field with the other races, that the Malays will always need Ketuanan Melayu or they will be no more Malays left in their own country! This is certainly true of the Malays in UMNO but not of the Malays outside UMNO! I shudder to think of what the future will hold for these people. Where will they go and how will they survive when UMNO is out of government? We see the future for these people in the likes of Ibrahim Ali and Mahathir. They know nothing but politics. Without politics they do not have a life…….even when they are past 80. But there are no more places for them within UMNO. And so we see them do what they do now and they become a pain to us in a place where the sun does not shine! Just think of the negative impact it will have on the country when this scenario is repeated thousand of times at various levels after the next general elections when UMNO is ousted! The way things are for UMNO they know it would be a mistake to send a message to the other races that UMNO only looks after their own – but what choice do they have? What we need to understand is that UMNO has a fragmented political reality with real power residing outside cabinet. The extent to which this power is exercised will depend on the Prime Minister of the day. Our history will show us that Tunku, Hussein Onn and Abdullah Badawi left office because of circumstances beyond their control. Circumstance created by those outside government but within UMNO. A weak PM like Najib will surrender power to this faction, or for the lack of a better word, to these warlords as and when dictated to do so. Because UMNO has been identified with the Malays, UMNO’s problem is the Malay problem. UMNO’s crisis is a Malay crisis. And UMNO’s solution to their problem will also be a Malay solution. UMNO wants to lead but its ability to lead will depend on whether their intention to change is sincere. Whether it can be backed by positive change in the face of opposition from the powerful forces within UMNO that wants to maintain its present status quo. Can UMNO change? I think not. UMNO is deceit. UMNO is greed. UMNO is not our future! As the Chinese says : “The harsh winter is gone and spring is around the corner” ….I think that spring is indeed around the corner for all of us. We await the 13th general Election with much impatience!! Posted by Hussein abdul Hamid

By Admin The Scribe have come across many Arabs who say that the Malays in Malaysia are trying to be more Arab than the Arabs themselves. In fact if one were to compliment a Malay that he or she looks or sounds like an Arab, it would make their day. Malaysians especially the Muslims have probably not met an Israeli or a Jew in their life time. However, they appear to have their minds set that the Jews and Israelis are their mortal enemies without even bothering to understand the Arab/Palestinian conflict. Malays especially the Muslims in Malaysia froth from the mouth each time there’s a report of Israeli military response in Gaza or the Occupied Territories. The irony of it all is that there’s not a single word of protest from these Muslim about the genocide underway in Syria committed by the Assad Regime on their own people who are Muslims. It appear that Muslim committing genocide on Muslims is ok for Malaysian Muslims. Thus it comes as no surprise the international incident created by Malaysian PM Najib Razak who tried to score brownie points by visiting Gaza with the terrorist Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh much to the chagrin of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Malaysian like PM Najib are clueless about the complexities of the Palestinian conflict but yet give blind support to terrorist like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Satanic Regime’s of Iran and Syria which supports terrorism around the World. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has condemned the visit to the Gaza Strip by Malaysia’s Prime Minister. Mohammad Najib spent several hours in Gaza on Tuesday for what he described as a “humanitarian mission”. According to Abbas, however, the visit did not serve Palestinian interests, violated Palestinian representation protocols and reinforced the Palestinian division. His office has demanded clarification from the Malaysian government. “The Malaysian Prime Minister called President Mahmoud Abbas and informed him that he would send humanitarian aid materials to Gaza and the West Bank, and that he would meet with a Palestinian delegation in Cairo,” said a statement from Ramallah. “This raises question marks and surprise at the visit, which contributes to a conspiracy to divide the Palestinian homeland and serves the plots that aim to keep Jerusalem isolated from the Palestinian state, the legitimacy of which was recognised by the entire world on 29 November, 2012.” The President’s statement was published by the official Palestinian news agency. It called on “all friends and brothers to contribute to embody the UN resolutions for establishing a unified Palestinian state with Al Quds Al Sharif [Jerusalem] as its capital.” Speaking at a press conference with Prime Minister Najib, the head of the Palestinian government in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, predicted that the Israeli election will lead to a more extremist government in Tel Aviv. The Palestinian Prime Minister called on all Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims to build a unified strategy to confront what he called “Zionist extremism”. NOTE: THE BN/UMNO MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS CONVENIENTLY LEFT OUT THIS DAMAGING NEWS FROM BEING REPORTED. INSTEAD THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE NAJIB AND HIS WIFE ROSMAH AS DEFENDERS OF THE PALESTINIANS. GOD HELP THE PALESTINIANS! Source: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR Posted by MarGeeMar
SAPP ticks off Sabah DAP over immigrant issue

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:49:45 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
Was Sabah DAP shooting blanks when it asked why former chief minister Yong Teck Lee was silent over RCI revelations? KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive People’s Party (SAPP) has been a constant “thorn in the flesh” of Sabah Barisan Nasional since 1999 because of its demand that the influx of illegal immigrants in Sabah be investigated. SAPP Youth said it was because of the party’s persistent demand for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the illegal immigrants that ties between the party and BN’s “top leadership” was strained. SAPP was part of the BN coalition until it pulled out in 2008 after winning four seats. Chiding state DAP assistant secretary Junz Wong’s ignorance, SAPP Youth Kota Kinabalu zone chief John Stephen Dionysius said: “SAPP has been consistent in demanding for an answer to the threat posed by illegal immigrants. “Even before SAPP’s pullout from BN during the tenure of former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, SAPP was relentlessly demanding the government to take action on the massive influx of illegal immigrants into Sabah. “A 14-point proposals and ideas contained in the memorandum ‘Time for direct preventive actions” was submitted to the then prime minister in 2006 but no action was taken. “In fact, earlier on in 1999, SAPP had already submitted a memorandum titled ‘Illegal Immigrants: Mother of All Threats’ and in this we included the additional 14-point memorandum.” He also pointed out that in 2011, SAPP Youth had initiated a statewide campaign to collect 100,000 signatures calling for the RCI on illegals immigrants to be set up. The petition was later submitted to the State Legislative Assembly by SAPP Youth chief Edward Dagul and MPs for Tawau (Chua Soon Bui) and Sepanggar (Eric Majimbun). RCI testimonies incriminating Dionysius was responding to Wong’s attack on SAPP that the party had “no moral authority” to talk about illegal immigrant issue. Wong today questioned SAPP and its president Yong Teck Lee’s silence over the disclosures at the ongoing Sabah RCI. “Why have they been keeping very quiet on recent shocking findings exposed by the RCI hearings? “If SAPP had sincerely wanted to solve the illegal immigrant issue, SAPP should have stopped the problem from deteriorating with a sense of urgency then,” he said, alluding to the fact that its president was once a chief minister. The testimonies by former National Registration Department (NRD) officers, illegals and immigrants on the secretive and clandestine manner by which the citizenship-for-votes scam, under the premiership of then prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, was carried out have shocked Malaysians and Sabahans in particular. Based on these testimonies, it was learnt that the once Christian-majority Borneon state was “nuetralised” by an ambitious plan that gave away citizenships to Muslim immigrants and illegals to ensure that Umno and BN stay in power. The revelations have sent shivers across the political divide because many of those involved in this conspiracy “at the highest levels” of federal and state authorities are alive and still politicking.
‘Police murdered security guard’

PKR vice-president N Surendran also claimed the police conspired with Serdang Hospital to deny the family their right to see his body. PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president N Surendran today accused the police of murder in the death of security guard C Sugumar in Hulu Langat yesterday evening. He also charged that the police conspired with the Serdang Hospital to cover up the case. “It is murder by the police. The cover-up is clear. Serdang Hospital is not allowing the family of the deceased to see the body on the instructions of the police. “They [hospital] have also not conducted a post-mortem,” said Surendran, who was at the hospital mortuary with the family of the deceased. Sugumar, 40, a bachelor, the youngest in the family, has two brothers. According to PKR human rights and legal bureau deputy chief, S Jayathas, Sugumar was involved in an argument with some people in Sri Nanding, Hulu Langat, yesterday evening. Policeman stepped on Sugumar The police, who were informed about the brawl, arrived at the scene. Sugumar tried to run but the police handcuffed him, Jayathas said. “The police and the public bashed up Sugumar. A policeman stepped on Sugumar’s neckwhile another smeared his face with turmeric powder, and he died,” he claimed. Sugumar’s body was brought to Serdang Hospital yesterday but no post-mortem has been conducted. “The government has learnt nothing and continues to kill Indians in police custody,” said Surendran. A police officer from the Hulu Langat district police headquarters told FMT that the case is being investigated.
Xavier points finger at Public Complaints Bureau

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:46:05 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
(The Star) – Selangor executive councillor Dr Xavier Jayakumar has alleged that the Public Complaints Bureau is responsible for the issuance of notice to the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in Pekan Bangi Lama, Selangor, to tone down the excessive noise. He said the bureau directed the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) to issue the summons to the temple in February last year and on Jan 8. “The bureau had directed the council to go ahead with the summons,” he said. But bureau director-general Mahani Tan Abdullah denied that it had instructed MPKj to act against the temple. “My department has no authority to instruct a local council to issue summonses,” she said. She said the bureau had received a complaint from a resident in Pekan Bangi Lama, who claimed that the problem of loud noise from the temple persisted despite lodging a complaint to MPKj. “We sent a letter to MPKj enquiring about the complaint made by the resident,” she said. The temple was first issued a notice on Feb 17 last year and another notice was issued on Jan 8 which directed them to reduce the noise level and cease all religious activities after 6pm. MPKj has rescinded the notice. MIC Youth chief T. Mohan said Dr Xavier was attempting to shift the blame to others. “The bureau does not have the authority to dictate terms. It is very clear that the MPKj acted on their own,” he said, adding that Dr Xavier should release the letter from the bureau so that everyone will know the truth. PKR Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam said Dr Xavier’s statement was ridiculous as there is a directive that all issues related to places of worship had to be referred to the state government first. “The 22 councils in the state come under the purview of the state government and is he (Dr Xavier) implying that they are taking orders from the Federal Government,” he said.
Batu Caves temple claims they’re being punished for protesting

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:45:07 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
(The Star) – The Batu Caves temple committee claims it is being victimised by the Selangor government for staging a protest against the construction of a condominium near the limestone cave site last year. Sri Maha Mariamman Devasathanam committee chairman Datuk R. Nadarajah alleged the state government, through the Selayang Munici-pal Council (MPS), had made bizarre requests, including asking for a building plan of the iconic staircase that leads into the main cave. “After we protested against the condominium, MPS sent us a barrage of letters, and one of them was to dispute the safety of the staircase. “The staircase has been around since the 1930s. Millions of people have been going up and down it and there has never been a problem. “And now they want a building plan for the staircase?’’ Nadarajah said here yesterday. He alleged the state government was also punishing him by scrapping his plans for an Indian cultural centre as well as made him face a lot of bureaucracy over the Batu Caves cable car project. Nadarajah claimed the development order for the cable car was approved on Dec 31 last year, but MPS was asking for the building plan again. “That will take us another year of waiting. People are already asking about the cable car,’’ he said. The cable car project was announ-ced in 2011 and was expected to be completed in 2012. He reiterated that the problems began after he started speaking againt the condominium project. “I protested and they are now coming after me,’’ alleged Nadarajah. Nadarajah had led a protest against the 29-storey condominium project, located just 120m next to the Lord Murugan statue, in October last year, saying the development was too close to the limestone hills. He added that he would be revealing more next week as well as showing the letters from MPS.
Feel like kicking yourself

Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
Ultimately, you are to blame. And pinning the blame on Dr Mahathir is your way of shifting the blame so that you need not kick yourself. And, soon, the next general election will be upon us. In two months time we shall know who is going to run the country for the next five years or so. And, yet again, Barisan Nasional is going to win the election. And, yet again, you are going to look for someone to blame. And this is just going to prove one thing that I have been saying for a long time — and that is Malaysians are a bunch of losers. THE CORRIDORS OF POWER Raja Petra Kamarudin There is an English saying: you feel like kicking yourself. This describes the situation where you have been an utter fool and now feel real stupid about it. Hence you feel like kicking yourself. I have noticed that many readers seem to feel exactly like this — they feel like kicking themselves. Judging by the comments posted in Malaysia Today , many which are deleted merely because they keep repeating the same thing over and over again, quite a number of you fall into this category. I used to be a Tun Hussein Onn critic in the days he was Malaysia’s Prime Minister back in the late 1970s. That was more or less the time I started to become politically conscious and when I began to realise that all was not kosher and honky-dory in Malaysia. Then, when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad took over as Prime Minister, I did not care about Hussein Onn any more. He had already retired and was ‘yesterday’s news’. I began to channel my criticism towards Dr Mahathir — even during the time when Anwar Ibrahim was yet to have his falling out with his master in 1998. Hence my criticism of Dr Mahathir did not commence only in 1998 when he threw Anwar into jail. It started even earlier than that, long before he and Anwar went into conflict. When Dr Mahathir handed over the reins to Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in November 2003, I became a Pak Lah critic. Dr Mahathir was no longer my pet hate. He was no longer the Prime Minister. Pak Lah was. So my new target became Pak Lah. Then Pak Lah retired and handed the country to Najib Tun Razak. From that day on I no longer talked about Pak Lah. I started to target Najib. He was now the Prime Minister so he should now become the focus of my attacks. I find, however, that no one talks about Hussein Onn, the Prime Minister before Dr Mahathir, or about Pak Lah, the Prime Minister after Dr Mahathir. But you do talk about Dr Mahathir. And you talk more about Dr Mahathir’s Indian ancestry than about what he did when he was Prime Minister. Even if you do talk about what Dr Mahathir did when he was Prime Minister, most times you will make that comment in the context of his Indian ancestry. It is as if Dr Mahathir is what he is or is a bad person because he has Indian blood in him. It is as if that explains why Dr Mahathir is what he is — because he is Indian. If I were asked to psychoanalyse you, I would most likely do so as follows. Back in the late 1980s, we had already told you what we knew about Dr Mahathir, Umno and Barisan Nasional. What we told you 25 years ago is basically the same thing as what we are telling you today. However, you refused to listen. In the 1990 general election, more than 53% of you voted for Barisan Nasional, giving the opposition only 53 of the 180 seats in Parliament (or 29%). We just could not get you to kick out Barisan Nasional and give the government to the opposition. No doubt when we point this out you will reply with all sorts of excuses to justify why you did not vote opposition and instead gave the country to Barisan Nasional. The normal excuses are: there was no Internet yet at that time (so we were not well informed), the opposition was not credible enough (so we had no confidence in the opposition), the opposition had not been tested yet (so we had more confidence in Barisan Nasional), the mainstream media lied to us (so we were misinformed) and so on. Then, in the next general election in 1995, the opposition’s share of Parliament seats dropped to just 30 out of 192 (which is only 15%). More than 84% of you voted Barisan Nasional. Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah soon realised that his attempt to kick out Barisan Nasional is futile. Malaysians just did not want the opposition to take over the country. They would rather that Umno and Barisan Nasional continue to rule Malaysia. Ku Li was better off just closing down his Semangat 46 and go back to Umno — which he did soon after that in 1996. Nevertheless, many of us did not give up yet. We continued to support and vote for the opposition. In 1999, we went all out to campaign for the opposition. In fact, that same year I even went to work for Parti Keadilan Nasional. This was no longer just about supporting the opposition. We were literally working for the opposition. Unfortunately, in the 1999 general election, the opposition did even worse than in the 1990 general election. Almost 57% of you voted for Barisan Nasional (compared to 53% in 1990) and the opposition won only 23% of the seats in Parliament (compared to about 29% in 1990). The 1999 general election was supposed to have been the landmark election for Malaysia. We were supposed to have made history. But we could not even better the 1990 general election. What a letdown. And, yet again, the long list of excuses as to why you were ‘forced’ to vote Barisan Nasional rather than the opposition Barisan Alternatif. And the most classic excuse of all came from the non-Malays: we support you in our hearts but we have to vote Barisan Nasional for the sake of the economy. What a load of bullshit! In other words money talks, bullshit walks. And Barisan Nasional is about money while the opposition is bullshit. But we still did not give up. In November 2003, Pak Lah took over and four months later the general election was called. Dr Mahathir is a dictator. Dr Mahathir is vicious. Dr Mahathir is vindictive. Dr Mahathir is toxic. So we do not dare vote opposition when Dr Mahathir was Prime Minister. But now Pak Lah was Prime Minister. So surely all those excuses no longer applied. But no, in the 2004 general election, almost 64% of you voted for Barisan Nasional, giving them almost 91% of the seats in Parliament. This was the best ever performance for the ruling party since Merdeka . So this could not have been about Dr Mahathir this, that and the other after all, as what you told us in 1990, 1995 and 1999. I was a campaign manager in that 2004 general election. I was no longer just working for the party like in 1999. I was now ‘on the ground’ trying to help the opposition win. But we got whacked good and proper. We practically lost our pants. Many opposition candidates not only lost the election but lost their deposit as well. That was how bad it was. We were shocked. How could that have happened? And, yet again, a long list of excuses as to why you voted for the ruling party and not for the opposition — the same long list of excuses that we heard in 1990, 1995 and 1999. That was when I decided we needed to change tactics. They say if you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result that is a sign of lunacy. If we expect a different result then we need to do things differently. And that was when I decided to launch Malaysia Today and take our fight to the cyber-world. We can never win in ‘conventional’ warfare when we do not possess the firepower. So we need to embark upon an ‘unconventional’ war. And that would have to be in the Internet. I always use the Afghan Mujahideen fight against the Russians as my analogy. When they tried fighting the Russians in a conventional war they got whacked bad. Russia had tanks, helicopter gunships, rocket launchers and so on. And the Afghans suffered heavy losses. Then the Afghans changed tactics. They took the fight to where they were strongest, in the mountains. When the Russians tried to fight the Afghans in the mountains the tables turned. Eventually the Russians gave up and went home. Sun Tzu did say you must engage the enemy in your territory and not try to fight them in their territory. This was what the Afghans did. And this was what we also did in 2004 — after we got whacked bad in the general election that year — when we decided to engage Barisan Nasional in our territory, the Internet. Nevertheless, the opposition success in the 2008 general election was not any better than in the 1990 general election. Still 52% of you voted for Barisan Nasional, a mere 1% improvement over 1990. Yes, that’s right, in spite of all that effort, in 2008 we improved only 1% over 1990, an era when there was no Internet yet. So, can the excuse that Barisan Nasional did well because there was no Internet yet at that time hold water? In 1990 there was no Internet. In 2008 the Internet had already fully matured. But in 2008 the vote improvement was only 1% over 1990. Most of you refuse to accept the fact that this is your fault. If you do then you would have to kick yourself. So you look for a scapegoat to pin the blame on. And that is why you are very nasty towards Dr Mahathir. You want to blame Dr Mahathir for your stupidity. You do not want to admit that it is you who are stupid. So you blame BTN. You blame Umno. You blame the mainstream media. You blame PAS. You blame the Islamic State. You blame Hudud. You blame the fact that Dr Mahathir has Indian blood in him. You blame the fact there was no Internet. You blame your parents who did not know any better. If you could, you would also like to blame Prophet Muhammad — except that you are not quite sure how to do this.
Teng: Penang Run not organised by state BN

The controversy has also ignited a dispute between the state government and Penang BN leaders over the use of the word “Penang”. — Reuters pic GEORGE TOWN, Jan 24 — Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) has denied allegations that it was behind the controversial Penang Run that is being held this Sunday, the day on which Thaipusam also falls. This follows a hue and cry over the sporting event being held on the same day as an important Hindu religious festival with the Penang state government accusing Penang BN’s component party, Gerakan, of being the culprit behind the event. Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow has denied that Penang BN or Penang Gerakan had anything to do with the event. “It is purely sports organised by a non-governmental organisation (NGO),” he said at a press conference after opening the 1 Malaysia Healthcare Carnival at Penang Times Square here this morning. He added that the run was confined to the Universiti Sains Malaysia compound and that whatever complaints about it should be aimed at the organisers and not at Penang BN. The much-disputed sporting event made the headlines when Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy accused the organisers, whom he alleged were Penang Gerakan leaders, of being insensitive to the Hindu community by organising the event on Thaipusam. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has also ticked off the organisers for holding the event on Thaipusam. He also pointed out that they should have obtained the state’s sanction to use the word “Penang” for the run’s name as it had confused many members of the public into believing that it was a state event. This sparked another dispute with Penang BN leaders criticising Lim for laying claim to the word “Penang” and Penang BN have even come up with a “Love Penang” campaign, themed “Penang, Penang, Penang” in response. “This campaign was not meant to confront the state government but to encourage more NGOs and the public to love Penang and to organise more activities using the word ‘Penang,’” Teng said. They hope to launch the campaign next week. Penang Run is jointly organised by Tanjung Social Club and Penang Forward Sports Club. Organising committee member Lim Choo Hooi has also denied that the event is linked to any political party or government departments.

Manimagalay, is distraught after viewing her youngest son’s body. — Picture by Choo Choy May SERDANG, Jan 24 — A security guard was chased down yesterday by four policemen who subsequently handcuffed and beat him to death together with a mob of more than 20 people in Hulu Langat yesterday, eyewitnesses alleged today. It is unclear why policemen were trying to apprehend 40-year-old C. Sugumaran. He was found naked with handcuffs still on him, according to witnesses. His body is now at the Serdang Hospital where family members had been denied access since their arrival at 9am. According to witnesses who were present at the hospital today, the incident happened at 6.30pm yesterday. Sugumaran was seen running from the four policemen in two patrol cars along a major road five minutes from his home in Taman Sri Nanding, Batu 12 Hulu Langat. As the road was congested with traffic, the four policemen stopped their vehicles and proceeded to chase after Sugumaran on foot. After they caught and handcuffed him, more than 20 other men from a nearby restaurant joined the policemen and proceeded to assault him. “The police stepped on Sugumaran’s neck,” R. Moohanarajan told The Malaysian Insider at the Serdang Hospital here today. “Twenty to thirty people wearing plain clothes beat him up. He was lying facedown with his hands handcuffed behind,” added Moohanarajan, who was Sugumaran’s neighbour. The eyewitnesses said that the 10-minute beating happened at about 6.30pm yesterday near the Taman Perkasa cemetery at Batu 12, Hulu Langat. Policemen stand outside the morgue of Serdang Hospital. — Picture by Choo Choy May More than 20 people comprising Sugumaran’s family, relatives and neighbours had gathered at the hospital here since 9am, demanding to see the body. Sugumaran’s mother K. Manimagalay was only allowed access to her son’s body about six hours later at 3.10pm. She burst into tears after emerging from the mortuary and had to be consoled by her younger brother. Chaos ensued when Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam shouted: “The handcuffs are still on the body. Celaka (Damn)! Already dead, still handcuffed.” Other people started shouting angrily as about five police officers tried to control the crowd. Moohanarajan, who is unemployed, said he was returning home after buying a video game when he saw the police chasing Sugumaran, beating him, handcuffing him, and then throwing turmeric powder in the latter’s face. He added that the forensic police only came at about 11pm to remove the body after it had rained. Sugumaran’s family, relatives and neighbours wait to view his body. — Picture by Choo Choy May Manimagalay said that her youngest son Sugumaran did not have a criminal record. “He never stole. He did not murder anyone…People said that he had fought with Nepalese though,” she told reporters. The mother of three sons also said that Sugumaran suffered from a mental illness, but did not specify what it was. Sugumaran’s friend T. Panirselvam said that Sugumaran was hot-tempered and reacted to provocation. “Maybe he has depression,” said Panirselvam, adding that Sugumaran’s mother had lodged a police report against Sugumaran a few years ago, but did not specify further. Sugumaran’s family lawyer N. Surendran told reporters here today after viewing the body that Sugumaran’s left leg was injured and had lots of scars, which indicated that “he was pushed down.” “There was bleeding from the back of the head. On his face, there were remains of turmeric powder around the mouth,” said Surendran, who is also a PKR vice-president. Surendran called for an immediate police investigation and the suspension of the men involved in the incident. The post-mortem results were unavailable at press time. Kajang CID chief DSP Marzuki Mohd Mokhdar told The Malaysian Insider today that the police would brief reporters after the post-mortem that would likely be finished tonight. “We’ve nothing to hide,” he said. Four policemen are alleged to have chased after, handcuffed and then smeared turmeric powder on the face of a security guard, before beating him to death together with a mob at Taman Pekaka, Hulu Langat yesterday. The body of the victim Sugumar Chelliah, 40, is currently at Serdang hospital with his hands still handcuffed, claimed PKR human rights and legal bureau chief Latheefa Koya when contacted this afternoon. Latheefa, who is at the hospital with Sugumar’s family, are still waiting for the preliminary findings of the post-mortem. She claimed that family members had been waiting to see the body after receiving a call from the police at 11.30pm last night informing them about Sugumar’s death. [More to follow]
Ex-Umno division chief: Houses for public interest

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:35:08 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
Former Kota Raja Umno chief Amzah Umar has denied any wrongdoing over the latest allegations of a land-grab scandal in Section 25, Shah Alam, saying that the medium-cost apartments are meant for public interest. He said it provides members of public with housing. When pressed for details on how it differs from a for-profit development, he said Umno members could get a 12 percent discount at the apartments. “We give a seven percent discount for bumiputra buyers and 12 percent for Umno members, if I am not mistaken,” he said when contacted today. Amzah ( left ), who was also Sri Muda assemblyperson at the time when the land deal was struck, was responding to allegations made by Selangor select committee on land and district offices (Padat) chairperson Ng Suee Lim and committee member Shuhaimi Shafiei today. The expose today is part of Ng’s efforts to reveal 24 plots of land allegedly sold cheaply to BN component parties when the coalition was in control of Selangor. State opposition members including Selangor Umno information chief Abdul Shukor Idrus have previously rebutted that the cheap land was meant for ‘community purposes’ , such as building community halls and kindergartens. Commenting further on today’s expose, Amzah said everything has been going according to plan and in accordance with an agreement with the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) and there is no plot to use the local authority to expedite the development as alleged. “What scandal? It is all in the plan. You can check with MBSA, the state government, or the district officer, everything is in order,” he said. When it was pointed out that there are only apartments in the plans Ng showed to members of the press and no sign of a sports and recreation complex that was initially proposed, he said this is between MBSA and the developers and he does not know under which phase it would be built. He also denied that there is “anything unusual” in that the Umno division and MBSA only paid RM1,000 in land premiums, claiming that many other organisations also applied to the state government to pay only a nominal fee, or no fee at all. Once land is granted, he said it is Umno’s right as the landowner to develop it as it sees fit.
Panel: Umno used local council for cheap land

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:33:52 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
A select committee under the Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor state assembly has exposed yet another alleged cheap land scandal involving Umno today, claiming this time the latter had piggybacked on the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to expedite its land approval. Selangor select committee on land and district offices (Padat) chairperson Ng Suee Lim (left) claimed that Kota Raja Umno division and MBSA jointly applied for the seven-acre land in 2006, ostensibly to build a sports and recreation complex and community centre. There were allegedly another 11 applicants from private developers intendeding to use the land for commercial and residential projects. The Klang District Land Committee, which was at the time in charge of the plot in Section 25, Shah Alam, recommended that four acres go to MBSA and three to the Umno division at market price, Ng said. However, when the state executive council, chaired by then-menteri besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo ( right ) met to approve the land application, the proportion of ownership was reversed and Umno supposedly got four acres while MBSA received three. Ng further claimed that in addition, Kota Raja Umno only needed to pay a ‘nominal fee’ of RM1,000 as land premium, although fellow Padat committee member Shuhaimi Shafiei claimed that land in the area was estimated to be worth RM700,000 per acre at the time. When applying for the development planning approval (Kebenaran Merancang) , he said the proposal called for apartments and shoplots, with only a small hall for MBSA. He added that Phase One of the development would consist of over 600 apartment units worth at least RM124 million, 11 shoplots, and other amenities, plus more of the same in the remaining two phases. However, he said he is unable to provide details on Phase Two and Three because the relevant development planning approval applications have yet to be submitted. ‘Hottest’ case to date Lim, who is also the Sekinchan assemblyperson, said that this is the ‘hottest’ case that he has raised to date as it shows how Umno had leveraged on a local council to its advantage. The land is one of 24 plots of land that he had earlier claimed to be purchased cheaply by BN component parties when the coalition was in control of the state during the previous administration. “MBSA, as the local authority, has been used by Kota Raja Umno for all convenience and facilities. How? “Since it (Kota Raja Umno) is using MBSA, the development planning approval is easier and more expedient compared to a private entity or political party. Therefore Umno is like a parasite,” he said at a press conference today. Shuhaimi added that Padat has also recommended that Kota Raja Umno pay RM500,000 as ‘consolation’ to MBSA. While conceding that is it far below the price of the land, MBSA would otherwise have nothing to show for the deal except for the hall sitting on about 0.3 acres. During a site visit to the area after the press conference, the five apartment blocks appeared to be nearing completion , but construction was still ongoing nearby. Reporters were also given access to the hall meant for MBSA and found it so small that it could only fit in two badminton courts. Ng demanded that prime minister and Selangor BN chief Najib Abdul Razak apologise specifically for the alleged land grab scandal, otherwise Selangorians should not even consider voting BN back into power. He also demanded that all 24 plots be returned to the state government. When contacted, then-Kota Raja Umno chief Amzah Umar denied any wrongdoing in the matter. “Umno land is only four acres; MBSA three. We do not mess with the MBSA land (since) it is a joint venture. “The recreational centre has not been built yet and is still in progress. The hall is already there,” he said.
Felda bans Anak from coming into settler areas before polls

Thursday, 24 January, 2013 6:31:43 PM
Mohd. Kamal bin Abdullah
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Ahmad Maslan, who is also in-charge of Felda affairs, has confirmed that PAS-linked NGO Anak is allowed to enter Felda territory only during the election campaign period. He said the ban on Anak from entering areas managed by Felda comes under the Land (Group Settlement Areas) Act 1960. “During the campaign period, all can go in to campaign. For instance, during the Tenang (state constituency) by-election, we did not prohibit them from campaigning in Felda areas,” he said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today. However, Ahmad ( right ) claimed that Anak has been attempting to enter Felda areas before the polls with issues that could split the Felda communities, and hence Felda management has the power to stop the NGO. Ahmad was responding to Anak’s attempt to obtain a court declaration to lift the restrictions on Pakatan Rakyat ceramah in Felda areas. Anak lawyer Mohd Harris Abdullah had earlier said that they want court to declare that the ban enforced under the Land (Group Settlement Areas) Act is null and void, as it goes against the federal constitution which guarantees freedom of movement. The ban was stated in a letter dated Jan 11 sent by Felda Jengka management to a PAS branch chief. It said the Felda authority and the settlers consultative committee have decided “not to allow any ceramah or provocation involving politics to be held in the area of Felda Jengka 12 before the dissolution of Parliament”. Last month, Anak’s efforts to enter several Felda areas to publicise issues on alleged irregularities and abuses within the federal agency had received strong objections from local BN supporters, causing violent clashes and injuries. Ahmad also took a swipe at Anak president Mazlan Aliman, who is also a PAS leader, accusing him of always making baseless allegations against Felda. “This Mazlan Aliman ( left ) is a serial slanderer. There are serial rapists, serial murderers and serial sodomisers, but this Mazlan Aliman is a serial slanderer. “Before this he defamed us by saying that 12 percent of Felda Global Ventures (FGV) shares are owned by Genting. That is not true. “Then recently he defamed us by claiming that Bunge Pte Ltd, a Jewish company, has links with Felda. That is not true. We have filed a suit against him,” he said.
Selangor cancels Batu Caves condo project

Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has decided to cancel the controversial condominium project next to the historic Batu Caves after being briefed by an independent committee reviewing the project. “After listening to the explanation (of the committee), I have made the decision that Selayang municipal council cancels the development planning approval that has been issued to Dolomite Properties Sdn Bhd to build the 26-storey Dolomite Park Avenue condominium,” Khalid ( left ) announced in a statement today. He added the decision was made to safeguard the public and protect the environment. “I hope that this decision will be accepted positively by all quarters because it involves the safety of the public. “Selangor state government will not compromise with any development project that could jeopardise the safety of the people,” he said. The condominium project in Batu Caves, located near the iconic Hindu temple to Lord Muruga, courted controversy after the MIC-linked temple committee called for the project to be shelved, quoting potential environmental damage and possible disruptions to the place of worship. The issue prompted a finger-pointing game between BN and Pakatan in November last year, with both sides blaming each other for approving the project in 2007 and 2008 respectively. In December, Khalid named a five-member committee to study the issue. The five members are Klang district Orang Besar Abdul Ghani Pateh Akhir, neurosurgeon Dr M Nachiappan, former judicial commissioner Ranita Hussein, building law expert Harbans Singh and geologist Tan Boon Kong. In the statement issued today, Khalid said the committee had its first meeting on Tuesday. “During the meeting, the town and rural planning department had presented in detail the construction status of the structures and buildings in Batu Caves and their safety levels.” He said the decision to scrap the project was made after the meeting. “Selangor government supports any development project for the well-being of the people but it must be planned carefully according to regulations and does not jeopardise the safety of the people,” he stressed.
Ibrahim Ali called up by cops

Penang police have called up Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali over his Bible-burning remark and will call him again to record a statement in two days time. Ibrahim confirmed in a short text message to The Malay Mail that the police were following up on a police report lodged against him. Perkasa secretary-general Syed Hasan Syed Ali also said DAP can “go ahead” to obtain a court order to compel the attorney-general to act against Ibrahim over his statement calling for Muslims to seize and burn copies of the Bible which contained the word ‘Allah’ or other Arabic words. He was responding to a report in The Malay Mail yesterday’ in which the DAP national chairperson Karpal Singh gave the attorney-general two weeks to act against Ibrahim. However, Attorney-General Gani Patail had said police must investigate actual incidences of Bible-burning in order for any action to be taken. “It is their (DAP’s) right to proceed with such actions. As a lawyer, he (Karpal) should be patient and should be aware of how such procedures are,” said Syed Hasan. “If indeed Karpal is so concerned about such things, why doesn’t he address other issues that may disrupt the nation’s harmony such as with Patrick Teoh’s remarks on Facebook , or the spreading of hatred by other religions towards Malays?” Syed Hasan was referring to Teoh’s Facebook posting which ridiculed the Muslims, after which he posted an apology. – The Malay Mail

‘Enough with the warnings, haul up Ibrahim’

MIC Youth wants stern action against Perkasa chief, Ibrahim Ali, who has called on Muslims to burn the Al-Kitab. PETALING JAYA: MIC Youth has urged Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein to stop pussy-footing around the contentious call by Perkasa chief, Ibrahim Ali, to burn the Malay Bible and instead take immediate action against him. “MIC Youth wants Hishammuddin to take action against Ibrahim. “Ibrahim’s irresponsible action of inciting hatred against another religion can lead to this nation’s instability,” said the party’s Youth secretary, C Sivarraajh. He was reacting to Ibrahim who urged Muslims to burn Malay Bibles known as the Al-Kitab which bore the term”Allah”. Ibrahim, who is also Pasir Mas MP, made the call on Saturday in reaction to reports that the Al-Kitab is being distributed to Muslim schoolchildren. He said this at a Perkasa convention held in Penang. Following that call, DAP chairman Karpal Singh and a group of individuals have lodged police reports. Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail, meanwhile, told FMT that action will be taken only after the law had been breached. Describing Ibrahim’s call as “outrageous”, Sivarraajh said that it is time Ibrahim is brought to book since he has raised racial and religious sensitivities in the past. “Even though he has been warned many times, but he’s still walking the same way and using the same old tune which made other people hate him,” said Sivarraajh. In a related development, a little known group called Pasukan Bertindak Anti Bible Bahasa Melayu (Anti-Malay-Bible Action Force), urged Muslims to join in the “Malay Bible burning festivities” on Jan 27 in Penang.

Mohsin Abdullah While some Muslims may find the symbols ‘sensitive’, others don’t mind ‘haram’ advertising of beer. I MUST admit I’ve not heard of it before. Apparently, there’s a group in Penang which is called Persatuan Mukabuku Pulau Pinang Pinang. In English that should be Penang Facebook Association. Anyway, as we know recent media reports quoted the association president – a gentleman by the name of Salleh Ismail – as saying “two men were seen circulating bibles to students including Muslim students outside a school in Jelutong, Penang”. And we also know Deputy Education Minister Dr Puad Zarkashi has asked police to investigate as, said the deputy minister, “proselytisation of Muslims is against the law in the country”. Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, Minister in the PM’s Department meanwhile, has urged the police to “act fast as this is a very sensitive issue”. That’s the law of the land. Hence must be respected. Let the police probe. Without going into that particular “case”, I find myself asking this question. If, for some reason, someone comes up to me and hands me a copy of the Bible, what would I do? Well I can: 1) Turn it down ie do not accept the “gift”; 2) Accept politely, say thank you, put it away somewhere and forget about it totally; 3) Read the Bible although I’m not sure if I can understand or comprehend; 4) Study it. After all, the late Ahmad Deedat, the Muslim missionary studied the Bible and the knowledge in his own words made him stronger in his belief of the Islamic faith. Some even called him the “Great Islamic Scholar of the Bible”. Whether one agrees with that or for that matter Ahmad Deedate’s “style” of teaching and propagating Islam is another matter. Point is he wasn’t, for want of a better word, “afraid” of the Bible. Unlike many or some (definitely not all) Malay/Muslims in Malaysia. Which bring us to the Christian cross – seen by Christians as a representation of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. We know that many schools, which were formerly run by the Christian missionary, have had the school emblems and badges “modified”. Meaning the cross in the emblem had been removed by order of the authorities. Some replaced by other “objects” like a star. The reason being to remove any “religious semblance” so to speak. It is said the original emblem in the school badge (with the cross) can be “offending” to students of other faith (other than needless to say Christianity). Especially Muslim students. So that puts the cross, like the Bible, as something to be “afraid” of for Malay/Muslims here? That brings me to rugby. Yes, the game played with an oval shaped ball. The game of hooligans played by gentlemen. Something like that. The other day, I watched a rugby game which featured one of the top clubs in Malaysia. The club is run predominantly by Malays who are Muslims of course. The players are also predominantly Malay/Muslim. Majority Allah-fearing and hold steadfast to the pillars of Islam. But emblazoned across their jerseys is the name of a well-known beer. Obviously, the club is sponsored by a brewery. Yes, they needed the money to do a host of things but let’s not go there. Point is we have a group of “God-fearing” Muslims who have no qualms in “advertising” or “promoting” a beer brand. Not “afraid” of associating with something “haram”?

Our fate is now decided by someone who does not belong to here. Our government “help” them to gain citizenship, and they “help” the ruling party to win the election. Najib is doing the same thing now! What is the point to have election then? SEE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE HERE: 20 years ago, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, was systematically granting of citizenship to illegal immigrants by giving them identity documents in Sabah. This so called Project IC a.k.a Project M is to alter the demographic pattern of Sabah to make it more favorable to the ruling government, namely Barisan National. There are at least 1,500,000 “Project IC citizens” in Malaysia by 2012. In other words, our fate is now decided by someone who does not belong to here. Our government “help” them to gain citizenship, and they “help” the ruling party to win the election. Najib is doing the same thing now! What is the point to have election then? Where is our right to choose our future? How can we accept all these unscrupulous actions of BN government that would destroy democracy? Change now, save Malaysia. Please Share this video to your family members and friends.

Top Chinese leader’s Kuantan visit seen to boost BN

The Lynas refinery in Kuantan is set to remain a key campaign issue both locally and nationwide ahead of the general election. — File pic KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 ― Top Chinese leader Jia Qinglin will open a China-backed industrial park in Kuantan next month, in what is seen as Barisan Nasional’s (BN) push for the key community’s vote and a show of investor confidence despite the nearby Lynas rare earth project. The Malaysian Insider understands that China is also considering special agreements and incentives for Malaysia, apart from close co-operation in the past to build Penang’s second bridge and sending two rare pandas here for a year. It is also learnt the Najib administration wants to show that they have the confidence of the Chinese government in carrying out joint-projects such as the 607ha park in Kuantan, which is expected to attract some RM7 billion in investments and create 5,500 job opportunities upon completion in 2020. Jia ( right ), the outgoing fourth most-senior Politburo member, will launch the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) this February 5 along with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. The Singapore Straits Times cited analysts who said recent joint ventures between Malaysia and China have helped boost bilateral ties, and could help the Najib administration get better support from the Chinese community here, ahead of the 13th general election. “While Malaysia’s and China’s businessmen have been dealing closely with one another for decades, in recent years, the two governments have visibly strengthened their trade and official ties as well,” the paper quoted political analyst Oh Ei Sun of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies as saying. Newspaper columnist Koh Kok Wee observed that recent initiatives with China taken by Malaysia have been tailored towards both economic and political gains. “Mr Najib has been blessed with his father’s legacy. The Chinese have taken to him because they still remember warmly Tun Abdul Razak’s historic visit to China in 1974,” Koh was quoted as saying by ST. Malaysia was the first ASEAN nation to establish diplomatic ties with China, following the 1974 visit, ST added. “But whether the recent moves will sway Chinese Malaysian voters is unclear. It’s a different generation from when [Tun] Abdul Razak visited China,” the paper wrote. Najib, Malaysia’s sixth prime minister, will soon be leading the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition into federal polls, which observers believe will be the most closely fought electoral battle to date. According to a recent survey by the University of Malaya Centre of Democracy and Election (UMCEDEL), the Chinese community and young voters make up most of the fence sitters who will determine the winner of Election 2013. A total of 1,409 voters were polled by the centre recently on whether they thought BN or Pakatan Rakyat (PR) would win, with 42 per cent saying the former will win and 37 per cent saying the latter will win. For hot issues over the past year, such as the National Feedlot Centre (NFC) scandal, the controversial Lynas rare-earth plant and crime, those who said they would cause a drop in support for BN stood at 62 per cent, 61 per cent and 51 per cent respectively. A whopping 95 per cent of Chinese voters polled were concerned about integrity. Other key issues for the Chinese community are the increase of the nation’s debt attributed to the alleged weak management of the economy at 89 per cent, while the Lynas plant and increase in the prices of goods were at 86 and 82 per cent respectively.

The word ‘Humility’ is a very rare commodity in BolehLand. It’s even rarer than the rare ores that the Lynas Plant is handling because, the powers be do not think they need to be down to earth to care or be concerned about the people’s concern over the still debatable safety issues surrounding the effects on the environment. But then when it comes to money, humility is the last or not even a factor because if a bit of humility was present when it comes to money, you won’t get corruption abound as it seems to be perceived in the corridors of powers and in every fabric of BolehLand’s life eh? Each of us has his theories why there is lack of humility in BolehLand these days. Especially, when it comes to those in power, the politicians namely down to the guardians of morality, the religious fellows of every religion ie, and guardians of justice, the judiciary to the armed forces, ie the police. Given how there are many versions of a law being enforced in BolehLand, one can’t really depend on the guardians of morality or justice to be fair or seen to be fair at all. Let us not bring in the guardians of governing the people and treating everyone fairly, justly and without prejudice, ie. our politicians… these politicians on both divide are the last fellows we trust or believe to have humility. Politicians are masters of deception, delusion and they can lie to everyone all the time, believing that they can lie every time to everyone. They do so when they speak, with their convincing statistics and PowerPoint, (including DAP who don’t trust Microsoft EXCEL) they impress us as well as denying their own statistics and powerpoint the next moment to support another truth they just verbalised. One shining example is one supposedly minister who also feels at home changing his stance at his whims and fancy! So we can feel safe with such assurances that statistics are not as truthful than what comes out from a politician’s mouth right? If our politicians believe in the incredible and astounding statistics of achievements of their ETP and the 1001 1Malaysia setups, why are we all playing Damacai and 4-ekor gambling over an election date? So what do we make of the tragic disappearance of an innocent child? That his disappearance is not a statistical truth that people don’t feel safe but should be disregarded and take such incidences as part of our daily life? There is so much hue and cry over the potential billions that would not be made or pocket by those involved for not implementing the AES, than listening to the voices that ask for transparency and accountability in the way it is implemented? We condemn a non Muslim former DJ even making fun of his disability when he ‘niamah’ one religion and the ‘victims’ advocated Taliban Iranian, mob scenarios as well as there are calls for punishment of stoning, decapitation, whipping, imprisonment over his sacrilegious remark. But the highest institution of prosecution didn’t see it fit to prosecute another who wanted to do a babi opps barbecue to another religion’s holy book and would only ‘investigate’ if it was torched huh? More disgusting is the person who threatened it, no similar calls for punishment of stoning, decapitation, whipping, imprisonment over the sacrilegious remark were advocated for this perpetrator by the very same people who want to do our ‘niamah’ fellow kau-kau huh? Such double standard of victimisation and condemnation reminds BolehLand folks one is condemned and will face the wrath of the law has nothing to do with the law at all. It has to do with which religion is considered halal, the truth over others that needed protection while others are kafir and pagan religions where insulting these are permissible because if the rest are pagans, why should they feel humiliated at all right? It also depends the person saying it if he or she is insulting the official and protected religion or the ‘pagan’ religion and who the person is affiliated with or to. Like this predictable outcome of the case of single mothers in Pakatan rule Selangor suing the government for not living up to their manifestos of giving allowances to single mothers. The first such case in the world possibly. But hey this is BolehLand! It would be really good and a padan muka to Pakatan if they lose the case. Friends of mine even though they are Pakatan diehards are hoping the Pakatan State Government lose the case, i.e if the judgement against them is made before the GE and Pakatan is returned to power. So the rule against them must be made before GE is announced else if UMNO and BN is returned to power, where are the single mothers going to get the money? hah! So we are hoping the single moms win because it will help the many millions more like me included to sue the BN government for not living up to the past 12 manifestos and 55 yrs wait of giving us cheaper living after all the numerous billions of money spent on privatisation, not practicing equality by discrimination in housing, education, business due to practicing discriminatory ala apartheid racist social engineering policies, giving citizenship to illegal migrants, and so on and so forth right? Didn’t the BN fellows claimed and boasted we are a nation of moderates but still allow extremism to go on? Can we not sue BN for their inaction against those extremists on both sides. And what about the Bersih, Cekap, Amanah, fight against Corruption and what have you janjis not fulfilled? Who can I sue for breaking such manifestos please huh? Didn’t the BN fellows tell us crime is down (even if they later flip flopped to say statistics do lie and is not dependable) but we feel unsafe we can also sue them right? Parents whose kids are kidnapped, homes robbed, snatch thief victims and all those who have been victims of crime should also sue and get millions from the BN government too right? Besides politicians and religious leaders too who have zero genuine humility, the next are the wannabes, those pro supporters of both sides really – the ones who show their arrogance thinking they have a degree they can laud over those 0 level or supposed younger than them. Which brings to the case of our made ‘famous’ by social media, CONtroversial speaker Sharifah Zohra Jabeen Syed Shah Miskin who again showed her poor judgement of what humility, maturity, professional and what have you. Instead of listening to her heart and reflected upon the incident and bigger picture that have caused a furour, she chose to do a BolehLand version of the French effeuiller la marguerite game (She loves me, she loves me not…) In her response she chose to continue a version or part II of her ‘when I speak you listen’ berating this time at the 0 level undergraduate, including taking the millions on who have given their views either in thoughts, word and deeds! Listen up to her ‘she listened, she listened not, she listened’.. game of what she said here . ““First and foremost, I forgive the young girl in the video for whatever she said and did before, during and after the forum”… is the pontifical and thus far the most powerful quote of 2013! Note, no name was used but ‘I forgive the young girl..’ Compare with some of those who used the gender than specify a name such as. “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss L (which this Uncle Sam leader was brave enough to name). As opposed to …”I swear I do not know or have any connection with the Mongolian woman..” And, the most famous Apple story, no not the IT but the book related, ..”it was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it…” We have all been liars some time in our lives to politicians almost every hour so. More often it seems when trapped in a corner and knowing are wrong, the deception surfaces and often times the name is never mentioned right? ‘Who said it, ‘they, he or she or in SZ’s case even animals hah? Not the name of the person first! Why doesn’t SZ just ‘look at the young girl’ in the eye and say her name but used ‘the young girl; huh? Your interpretation and guess is up to you to guess haha! Our SZ also forgave all the “people who had jumped into the bandwagon and hurled harsh words towards me without checking their grounds or getting their facts right”…Ok the video then must be a lie and doctored or some Bolehwood version of a Bollywood clip huh? If we viewed the act of taking away the mike and her berating as not a fact of arrogance and rudeness, our SZ must be performing some Mother Theresa (apology to MT) act we can supposed eh? Hmm, wonder if pointing out her rudeness is a lie and harsh action on her character indeed! But then she being a pro-BN diehard we can supposed, is also mirroring what the BN viz UMNO politicians are – They are so full of themselves and believe they are always right and can do no wrong. And even if they do apologise it’s not meant for the intended victims but to some other fellows, animals, the sky, moon, earth and sea right hah! The Pakatan leaders are not far behind SZ too! Since in Round One those who have vented their frustrations enough, they couldn’t find anymore anger or worlds left to react upon hearing response statement. She had decided to extend the boxing match to Round Two and she must really believed she delivered a TKO on poor, Bawani and all her supporters in her response statement eh? In which case, she won and should be crowned the winner and vindicated right? Too many cuckoos in BN’s nest? If one is in delusion believing herself all pure and righteous, she will confidently, without delusion will believe what she said is said with all humility and truthfulness right? Do we give much weight to wackos and loonies or believe someone who we believe have flown over the cuckoo’s nest so many times or is it the case that there are too many cuckoos in BN’s nest, huh? But then being a motivational speaker, she might have developed or perfected the art of self confidence of being able to turn a negativity into a good thing for her we can supposed. So all those negativeness hurled at her don’t affect her an iota because of her high level of self confidence which to many of us, we would have gone on a depression spin, ashamed and a loonie realising we have really goofed up big time. But our SZ shows us the art of self confidence vs overconfidence, her humbleness and being the victim she made herself to be vs the arrogant, self serving, obnoxious, sadistic animal nature and dictatorial behavior others associate her with in her Round One Act and in this Round Two Act behaviour. Many friends listening to her rebuttal, have really been silenced because they are really lost for words on how to react. Having experienced enough and still do from the ruling party politicians who have mastered the art of being perfectly holy and can do no wrong fellows, they wonder how these perfect politicians will cope when their supports and wannabes like SZ, call them the young turkeys and gen Zoo, rise up and challenge their power. That we hope to see, if the UMNO and BN fellos return to power in GE. So the ole guards will have a lot of challenge from the likes of Gen Zoo! Have we listened enough with humility to what we say often times. Womder if our SZ has also listened to what she said in her rebuttal response? Like 1Malaysia who travelled a few thousand km to Gaza speaking about peace, unity and reconciliation but back home seem to be deaf and dumb allowing their pro supporters to shoot their mouth and fire away salvos of incendiary and fiery threats against other religions and those who are not pro BN or pro UMNO. It’s also very comical in the media organs of UMNO and BN, ie NSTP to go on an ala google ANALytics of the number of tweets, retweets and likes 1Malaysia had when tweeted about the Gaza visit . Why the need to be so juvenile like trying to remind the rest of the world leaders who the no 1twit opps 1tweeter is huh? Why the need to make 1Malaysia like, pun intended, want to be identified as a Gen Y or Gen Zoo seeking attention based on how many ‘likes’ one received from one’s tweet? We know it is an election gimmick this need to go about and do an ANALytics of tweets, retweets and likes than one to get feedback and portray as someone who is 1M4u. Perhaps those who are employed to meticulously do a daily ANALytics watch of 1Malaysia’s likes, retweets, page hits and track the hit profile, to know the correct history if they have been taught than the version taught in BolehLand school and university, about feeling over confident about relying on statics. (even if their own minister asks to disregard statistics). It’s like during the Vietnam war which was also called the technological war, each day and each time before Uncle Sam’s troops went out and hunted for the Vietcongs, they relied on their computers feeding them data from weather, ground conditions even (so their tanks won’t get stuck!) to number of enemies in their intended target. They would compute the mumbo jumbo numbers to predict success based on enemies and their own casualties. The Americans depended and relied on their computers and statistics thinking they will win… Well that was history and we know the history now who won eventually. Like those many Gen Ys (and Gen Xs who want to be identified as Gen Y setting up same FB’s and tweet accounts) who compete for number of fans, friends and likes to boost their self worth and ego… the shioksendiri syndrome is very high among BolehLand fellows… given we are one of the world’s top proliferate addicts of social media hah. The advantage of 1Malaysia over the ordinary non voting age kid on FB, twiiter or blog is the 13 yr old kids don’t have their MSMedia to publicise to the whole kampong folks and world how popular their tweet, FB or blog is right? What’s the point of speaking of love, peace, unity and all that on foreign soil, when in your own backyard you don’t seem to have ears or listened to your people asking your for leadership to practice what you preached? Hmm, can sue like the single mus in Selangor or not huh? So, have you listened enough to what you say if it is in synch with the realities on the ground huh? Is there a difference between our leaders and our can do no wrong and almost perfect human SZ huh? Given such is life in BolehLand, have we listened enough to our hearts that we are the arrogant, the bigot, the racists, the stubborn, the moron, the unjust, the dictator, the real devil, than the other whom we accuse them to be all these huh? Haven’t we heard enough from those people who don’t listen enough and try to preach to us to listen x11 when they speak, can we hear what she has spoken the second time around huh? Politicians are able to lie ever so often and get away with it is not because they make lying their profession or are professional liars, but it is the listeners who allow them to continue to lie and believe them to be truths because the listeners believe in all humility or rather am told, brainwashed as some say, that they should respect their elders, those who have been chosen, elected are their masters who know what is best for them. Is there no hope? Yes there is and we are not zombies or brainwashed are we? We know what we can do to stop listening to such fellows and leaders who only chose to speak (with lies) and not listen to us. Just don’t choose them to speak to us. Easy right so what’s stopping you huh? In this case, it’s ok to do a Zohra or Jabeen shuffle… when i speak, don’t choose anyone who don’t listen to us, you listen x11. And that my frens is from yours truly with three Degrees so it should carry three times weight right hah! – YAHMEH!!!

Salam Hormat, MOHD DANIAL ADULLAH

I would like to share with you the following article.
Remember we are in the same world. We uphold “right of reply” More to come!!!!!!

Semua presiden UMNO bukan melayu. Melayu UMNO kena tipu!

Asal Usul Semua Perdana Menteri Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad dalam bukunya A Doctor in the House mengaku bahawa beliau berketurunan India tetapi boleh menjadi Melayu. Melayu celah mana?

The Chinese has only himself to blame for his negative image. He has long toes, does not like to be criticised, and is easily offended. He hates taking instructions from others, especially from Malays and women. He thinks there is nothing wrong in humiliating women in public, but is outraged when he receives a dose of his own medicine.
